♦ Ode to Joy ♦
Joyful, joyful we adore thee
God of glory Lord of love
Hearts ♥ unfold like flowers before thee
Opening to the throne above
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness
Drive the dark of doubt away
Giver of immortal gladness
Fill us with the light of day
Now it's not like I even feel all that great, but it seems that God
just plants the fruits of the spirit in me against all odds ♣
Despite the fact that I'm mortal and He's immortal, he manifests his
wholeness in me--bringing me holistic healing.
"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars" - Oscar Wilde
...some of us flowers are opening to the sky, looking for that ray of
sun (truth, answers), the rain that He sends on the just and the unjust
(sustenance, daily bread), the nose that's gonna sniff us
(appreciators)...
"See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor
was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the
grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the
fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
But seek first
his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given
to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for
tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of
its own."
Matthew 6:25 --> 6:34
So for once in my life, I'd like to freeze the clockwork of my
mind. Sure, I love thinking about the future, the abstract, the
intangible...but was I created to do this out of desire to control or
for pure pleasure?

| A Hasidic tale describes a Rabbi who told people that if they studied the Torah it would put Scripture on their hearts. When someone asked him why he always used the word “on” instead of “in” he said, “Only God can put Scripture inside. But reading sacred text can put it on your hearts, and when your hearts break the holy words will fall inside.”

| Then the Lord said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground."

| And the words of the Lord are flawless,
like silver refined in a furnace of clay,
purified seven times.
